Originally from Cabin Creek, WV
The Songsmen and Linda travelled for about 20 years and decided to take a break and get the kids grown, now after 15 years the group is back in full force.
The founder of the group, Dude Wood is the father to Steve and Randy. Dude doesn't get to travel as much anymore due to health reasons, but he is still their biggest fan.
Steve Wood is the groups spokesperson and sings lead/baritone, little brother Randy Wood runs the sound equipment and also sings lead/baritone. Linda Wood, Steve's wife sings harmony and occasionally plays the piano for the "old time favorites".
The group feels that we are truly blessed by God to have that strong "family" harmony which lends to the unique blend that has become our signature throughout the years.
The kids are all grown now and we are starting on grand-kids, but Thanks be to the good Lord above,
"We are back"!!
